About AltruIT

AltruIT began in 2001 as a strategic partnership among a group of IT consultants, developers and Child & Family Services professionals in California. Our initial goal was to develop client tracking software that could be deployed statewide, in any size office or agency. The result was Options – a secure, web-based software package now in use throughout California. In 2003, AltruIT was incorporated with a broader mission: to support social change by providing Tier 1 information technology to non-profit Child and Family Services Agencies.

In 2004, AltruIT began a collaborative four-year project with a group of Voluntary Child & Family Services Agencies in New York. The goal was to extend Options’ feature set to include increased case management capabilities, such as case planning, medical and mental health management, adoption support, enhanced incident tracking and more. The eventual goal of the project was to create a never-before-realized interface between a Voluntary Agency system and the State (SACWIS) and City (ACS) data systems. This goal was realized with the launch of Options/NY --the only product on the market that accepts data feeds from a SACWIS system.

AltruIT is proud to work with the professionals whose life’s work is to protect and nurture children, and to strengthen families and communities. We are glad to partner with these professionals to improve efficiencies and outcomes in programs that effect social change. “Social Equity Through Information Technology” – that’s what AltruIT is all about.
